Building Team

Our building team is comprised of talented individuals that have over 100 years of combined experience in the homebuilding industry.  From start to finish, our team will walk you through the entire process of building a custom home.  From breaking ground, to moving in, our team will guide you through it all!



David Cryan, President 

David, a Houston native, graduated from St. Thomas High School and the University of Houston Bates College of Law where he received his LLB.  In the summer of 1965, David became licensed to practice law in the state of Texas and enjoyed an active law practice.  After practicing law for a period of time, David got involved in real estate development and construction in northwest Houston and built several hundred homes over the years and developed various properties.  He has been involved in numerous real estate developments and housing developments in Harris, Waller, and Austin counties.  Approximately five years ago, after spending time in residential and commercial construction, he founded RCOT Construction and Ranch Country Custom Homes.  David remains active in construction and in the acquisition and development of residential and commercial properties.  He is also involved in numerous community and church activities.

Stephen Cryan, Vice President

Stephen was born and raised in Sealy.  After attending Sealy High School, he attended the University of Texas in Austin where he earned a degree in business management in 1998.  Shortly thereafter, Stephen started a successful service and transport company.  In the summer of 2005, Stephen sold that business to join his family in running Ranch Country.  Growing up in Sealy has taught him that bad news and gossip travels extremely fast, so a company cannot afford to cut any corners.  It is extremely important that Ranch Country do things right to earn and maintain a good reputation through word of mouth and through the product they build.  Stephen loves being involved in the home building business in his hometown and loves the small town atmosphere.

RENE D. GONZALEZ, SALES

Rene has been with Ranch Country about 5 years and has over 11 years experience in the residential home industry.  He also has a lot of experience in dealing with financing of the homes.  Rene's "laid back" demeanor and sense of humor makes him easy to deal with and well-liked by our clients.

Denver Beatty, Project Manager

Denver majored in chemistry in college, but like many college graduates, he chose a career path completely unrelated to his major.  Now, after over 33 years of experience in the home building industry, he knows the ins and outs of home construction.  Denver has been with Ranch Country since 2005. He is responsible for overseeing material take-offs, purchasing, quality and cost control, and budgeting.  He loves working with everyone at Ranch Country, and since he has built so many homes, he brings a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience to the table.  Not only that, his humor and antics keep everyone at the office laughing.

Doug Ritter, Construction Manager

Doug has been in the home building industry since 1976.  In 2005, he joined the Ranch Country building team bringing almost 30 years of experience with him to the company.  Doug is involved in the day-to-day construction on all the homes.  He directly handles subcontractors, scheduling, materials management, quality control, customer service, etc.  Doug's personality makes him a good fit and an asset to the Ranch Country family.

 

Valerie Leon, Accounting Administrator

Valerie has been with Ranch Country since 2005, where she started out as receptionist.  Because of her hard work and attention to detail, she quickly advanced into the accounting department.  She now handles most of the day-to-day accounting for Ranch Country.  She takes care of the accounts payable and payroll for the company.  Valerie works quietly behind the scenes to make sure everything runs smoothly in and out of the accounting department and does an outstanding job for the company.

Maria Saenz, Administrative Assistant

When someone calls or visits our office, the first person they will normally see or talk to is Maria.  She works the front desk, but in reality, she does much more.  Ranch Country Custom Homes is not the only company operating out of our office.  Maria also handles the accounts receivables for the land development company and the water system company.  Her friendly and helpful demeanor helps make customers feel welcome when they walk through the front door.
